Course Description: This course gives a foundation of kanji and expands Japanese vocabulary, as well as autonomous learning skill necessary for university students. Student become able to read and write about 600 kanji and vocabulary using those kanji. They learn both the Japanese and Chinese ways of reading kanji, understand the meanings behind specific strokes, as well as the meaning behind each kanji character.
