Course Description: This course offers a study of the role of feminism in the 20th and early 21st centuries in Latin America. It discusses the effects of patriarchy and neoliberal policies on the rights of women and the cultures of Argentina and Latin America. This course examines three important historical moments: the right to vote; Latin American dictatorships and the human rights movement; decriminalization of abortion.
