Course Description: This course provides an introduction to fundamental concepts and laws related to energy and motion in the physical science. This course discusses introductory continuum mechanics (elastic bodies and fluids), wave motion, and thermal physics. Students acquire the vocabulary to describe physical phenomena, in particular, macroscopic phenomena including wave motions. The three main topics that are covered in this class is introduction to continuum mechanics, waves and acoustics, and introductory thermal physics.
